oh what at a night
and it was not late December back in 63!
upon collecting the monsters from the childminder, it was discovered that Wee Blonde Child was having great difficulty going to the toilet, a BM in particluar. Sooooo we go home and WBC just sorta lays about holding her tummy and doesn’t want to eat and eventually falls asleep on the sofa. After The Husband gets home from work WBC wakes up and is not any better and is possibly worse!
Here in Alberta (the province in which we live) there is a phone number you can call and talk with a health professional. This is excellent!! 24 hours a day you can get health advice instead of clogging doctor surgeries or Urgent Care facilities.~ I’m digressing ~ So I ring the Health Link and answer all the questions and end up advised to take WBC to Urgent Care or the Childrens Hospital if Urgent Care wasn’t available.
Soooo off to Urgent Care WBC and I went. At 9:50pm. We had 10 minutes to get there, as long as they weren’t busy that was our first stop as the Childrens Hospital is on the other side of the city. And not really knowing where it was and it was dark ….. I made a point of getting to Urgent Care ~ I knew where it was.
SO two hours later we are leaving Urgent Care and that screaming you heard last night?? That was WBC not wanting the doctor to listen to her chest. Or feel her tummy. Or look at her in general. So the doc says to give her 5mls of mineral oil two times a day increasing by 5mls each dose up to 20mls twice a day until she goes. Here’s hopin!
