why people! WHY!
you will not believe what I have witnessed today ~ I can’t believe what I saw!
While stopping at the Co-Op to get a couple things for the house I see a small child and her parent in the same store and think the “usual thoughts about another child”, you know the ones that jump in to your head about how cute/sweet the child looks, another possibly about their behavior at the time and how that would relate to my three etc. etc. etc.
I finish getting what I am getting and notice said child and parent (her mother maybe?)/adult she is with are at the cashiers too. I pay for my stuff and head out to my car and that is when I see it. Both the small child AND the adult get into a car and where does the child go? On to the floor behind the driver seat while the adult she was with got in to the car in the seat above where the child went! SHE GOT IN THE CAR ONTO THE FLOOR! AND THEY DROVE AWAY!!! Out on to a busy four lane road and headed toward one of the major thoroughfares through Calgary. I was so shocked that someone would have such disregard for such a precious life all I could do was stand there and watch!
WHY! WHY!! WHY!!!
at the end of the day the bus is far safer and cheaper in the long run even if all they do is get stopped and fined. I won’t even go to the other option, that makes me sick to think what would happen if there was an accident.

Wow, that is bizarre!!
Makes me wonder if the woman could have an estranged husband that she is trying to protect the child from. Even if that is the case, it’s horribly dangerous to have the kid hiding under her seat, no less!
@Kat - no there were other people in the car too. and it didn’t look like she was hiding the child ~ if that was the case why have the child out in public… what was more appalling was that it looked like the child was used to sitting there!
people can be so stupid.
Glad I’m back too! I do love facebook, but it’s not the same, huh?
wow…that truly is bizarre. I hope for the sake of the child she is caught in a police check one day!
