  • chicken pox

well unless your a parent those are innocuous words.  a childhood sickness.  once you’ve had it you possibly won’t get it again.  itchy, ugly, spots that let  you stay home from school for at least a week.  to the parent of a school going child it is a death sentence.  said child cannot go to school for at least one week.  nor can said child(ren) play with others for that time unless you are absolutely certain that the other children have either had chicken pox or their parents want them to get the chicken pox.

oldest large child got chicken pox two weeks ago now.  for a week she was contained inside the house.  driving me further insane.  THEN when she was able to go back to school, but wasn’t it mid term break and oldest large child had ANOTHER week off school.  tomorrow oldest large child goes back to school.  insane mother of three is beside herself with joy.

today healthy weighty wee man and wee blonde child got the chicken pox.  at least it is not as hard to deal with their containment…

  • and he walks…

after much anticiaption, healthy weighty wee man has started to walk.  he just stood up and walked.  on his own. with out any coaxing.  much to his father’s chagrin.

  • 25 forever!!

coz at that age I was old enough to know better, young enough to do it again and wise enough to enjoy it the second time around!

thats my story & I’m stickin’ to it!

  • over 600 channels on TV and there is still nothing of interest, or that I haven’t seen to boredom, worth watching!

  • and now he climbs …

healthy weighty wee man can’t walk yet, but he can climb!  the sofa…  the stairs…  the kitchen chairs…  his sisters…

  • sore arms…

my arms hurt.  heathy weighty wee man is teething and not having a good go of it.  he wants held and cuddled. alot.  he weighs about 2 & 3/4 stone (1 stone = 14#). now the muscles in my arms hurt.  healthy weighty wee man is very heavy.

  • daddy…

why is it that wee girls entire worlds revolves around her daddy?  forget that mammy can do it, they want daddy the minute he walks in the house.

  • a parent teacher meeting

next Thursday is my first (no doubt of many!) parent teacher meeting.  a parent teacher meeting.  as the parent.  I’m not wrapping my head around this very well.  I was always the student at the parent teacher meetings.  I have to go to the school and speak to the teacher.  as the parent.  at a parent teacher meeting.
